Visa Camp Procedures

The Visa camp handles all Indian visa issuances for US citizens, renewal and new Indian
passport requests, attestations, power of attorneys, PIO cards, birth certificates, life
certificate, marriage certificates, police clearance certificates, endorsement, etc.
- People of Non US and Non Indian nationalities should contact the nearest Consular office
for procedures, fees and processing times.
- Consular staff will only accept cashiers checks and money orders drawn out to the
Consul General of India- Houston or CGI-Houston
- All services rendered outside the Houston office will be charged an additional
US$10 per service.
- The Kerala Association office opens around 8:00am on regular assigned camp days. However, lines are formed early
(sometimes as early as 6:00am). Arrive early and form a line to ensure that you are served. Processing
begins upon the arrival of the Consular staff around 9:00am.
- Applications are taken until tokens run out. Approximately 250 tokens are handed out each camp day.
- Xerox and Notary facilities are available for IANT members. Note: these services may not be available
if equipment malfunctions or volunteers not present.
- IANT is a voluntary organization. This service and the IANT members related to it are purely on a
voluntary basis. No money is received for service provided. If you would like to help in the effort, please
